Coaching
Coaching is a form of learning that takes place through focused conversations between me (the coach), and you (the learner).
As coach, I will support you in reflecting on current and future behaviour, typically to help you move forward in a certain direction. My role is to focus on your needs and agenda, and not to impose my own.
I’ll mostly ask questions, in order to
- - help you identify what you want to achieve
- - encourage you to set goals
- - help you work things out for yourself
- - help you explore options
- - encourage you to reflect on experiences and learn from them
- - help you plan how to meet your goals
Contract/Costs
The first session is free. In this exploratory session we’ll explore your learning goals, identify whether coaching is the right approach for you, and decide whether we are well matched to work together on your goals. It’s important, if coaching is to be effective, that you have the right coach – it’s a good idea to meet with several before making a decision.
At the conclusion of our initial meeting, we’ll agree:
- - whether it will be useful for us to work together, and if so:
- - how often we’ll meet (typically once a fortnight)
- - how long we’ll meet for (typically an hour, though I usually set aside 1.5 hours in case we need extra time to finish the conversation)
The cost of coaching is £75 per session.
